Job Description
Parkwest Medical Center, a Covenant Health hospital, is seeking a full-time, 72-hour per pay period, night shift Registered Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care to older adults in a Senior Behavioral Unit. This role focuses on mental, emotional, and physical well-being and offers structured learning opportunities and a supportive team environment. The unit aims to help patients live life to the fullest as they age.
Requirements
- Initiates admission database and history
- Practices in compliance with all regulatory standards and adheres to all hospital policy and procedures
- Performs and prioritizes nursing care tasks
- Accurately follows the nursing plan of care and pertinent medical orders
- Observes and reports nursing interventions and patient responses
- Performs IV venipuncture and parenteral fluids administration
- Manages patient conditions and reports them to RN Team Leader
- Participates in unit-specific quality assurance activities
- Demonstrates infection control principles
