NURSE ASSISTANT NON-CERT

Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, a member of the CovHL Health System, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified) for a full-time position. This role involves providing hands-on patient care, assisting nurses with ADLs, and contributing to a safe and supportive environment for patients. The position offers 283 licensed beds and provides opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements

• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration rates, blood pressures, weights, heights, and intake-output measurements.
• Encourage patients to turn, cough, and take deep breaths and use incentive spirometry as specified by Plan of Care.
• Assist patients in and out of bed, into wheelchairs and transport when necessary.
• Provide nutritional needs of patient which may include distributing meal trays, feeding, filling and passing out water pitchers.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment, which may include reporting equipment that is out of order, appropriate handling of linen and storing of supplies.
• Perform tasks such as ROM, assist with ambulatory devices as specified by the patients' plan of care.
• May perform phlebotomy (requires additional training).
• May perform EKG (requires special training).
• Promptly answer patient call lights and respond to patient requests.
• Assist to maintain clean and orderly patient and work environment.
