Job Description
Crescent City Schools is seeking a full-time Director of Special Education to provide quality school-based leadership and compliance, focusing on program design, teacher coaching, assessment, intervention, and IEP planning. The role impacts students’ lives and ensures compliance with all relevant regulations. The role supports and leads professional development for faculty and improves the educational experience for students.
Requirements
- Experience in program design
- Experience with teacher coaching
- Experience with assessment/evaluation
- Experience with intervention/treatment
- Experience with IEP planning and implementation
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing students with exceptionalities
- Ability to develop flexible groups for students
- Experience with student IEPs
- Ability to conduct regular meetings
- Experience with team coordination
- Strong communication skills
