Preclinical Principal Scientist, Research & Development

Cresilon®, a biotechnology company specializing in hemostatic medical devices, is seeking a Preclinical Principal Scientist to lead research, manage preclinical activities, and contribute to product development. This hybrid role involves working on both in-vivo studies and off-site at a CRO, and requires strong leadership and communication skills. Requirements

• DVM, PhD, or MD in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 6+ years’ experience in preclinical medical device research
• 4+ years of people management experience
• Extensive knowledge of surgery, anatomy, toxicology, and pathology
• Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or related setting with a proven record of success
• Experience with planning, directing, and coordinating studies
• Strong knowledge of ISO-10993 Standards, FDA Guidance and Regulations, and Animal Welfare Regulations
• Experience with surgical publication submission strategy
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated experience with large animal in vivo surgical research and CRO vendor management
• Prior experience in authoring and reviewing regulatory documents
