Intern - Summer 2026 - Acoustical Engineer

Requirements

• General aptitude and willingness to learn the following:
• Work in acoustic team to develop UC and other audio products, such as speakers and microphone arrays.
• Perform acoustic simulations using FEA and other tools.
• Build/Simplify 3-D CAD models of product assemblies for importing them in FEA simulation software.
• Verify acoustic design by conducting tests at a component as well as system level, produce reports and provide recommendations for future steps
• Optimize acoustic performance through iterative design simulations
• Assist in research and development of innovative audio solutions
• Understand limitations imposed by industrial design, safety, reliability, EMI and thermal requirements in developing acoustic solutions
• Present acoustic simulations and test results to engineering teams and management.
• Collaborate with design engineers to create prototypes to validate acoustic concepts.
• Maintain detailed project documentation for simulations, tests, and design iterations to ensure traceability.
