The role involves accuracy, efficient claims processing, insurance verification, coding, payment posting, denial management, and patient communication. The ideal candidate will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve billing discrepancies.
Requirements
- Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies for reimbursement.
- Generate and send invoices to patients for services rendered.
- Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
- Record and reconcile payments received.
- Investigate and appeal claim denials.
- Maintain accurate records of billing activities.
