Cricut is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to lead the design, development, and qualification of complex production tooling, including multi-cavity injection molds, die-casting tools, stamping dies, and precision fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in tooling technologies, including injection moulding, die casting, stamping, and precision tooling systems, and have 8-12+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and manufacturing engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 8-12+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and manufacturing engineering
- Extensive experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments
- Advanced expertise in injection mold design
- Strong experience with die-casting tooling, stamping dies, or progressive tooling systems
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and dimensional control
- Experience with mold flow simulation tools (Moldflow, Moldex3D, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD platforms such as Creo, NX, or SolidWorks
- Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills in production environments
- Ability to manage multiple complex tooling programs simultaneously
- Strong technical communication and supplier management skills
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices
