The Field Technician installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots irrigation sensor systems, primarily in vineyards, orchards, and field-crop sites. The role involves coordinating with growers, managing inventory, and following safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Hands-on experience in agriculture, field installations, sensors, electronics, communications, or similar equipment
- Solid mechanical, electrical, and/or electronics aptitude
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently in remote field environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with growers and internal teams
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate service documentation
- Ability to navigate remote sites and access points not listed on maps — including unmarked easements, vineyards, and ranch roads — with very frequent off-road driving (4x4 required)
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions and uneven terrain
- Regular driving between job sites (on- and off-road; 4x4 required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
