Sports Coach I

Join the Y team — where coaching builds skills, confidence, and community! This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Requirements

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment to members, participants, and guests
• Enforce member expectations
• Foster strong sportsmanship behaviors
• Manage sports games in an organized and efficient manner
• Coach fundamentals, clinic, and referee recreational leagues up to 3rd grade
• Facilitate/lead sports discussion with coaches/captains
• Evaluate equipment and report any need to fix or replace items used
• Clean the general area of program space
• Attends and participates in other YMCA program activities, trainings, and staff meetings
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures
• Assist in YMCA fundraising activities and special events
