Job Description
CSA Group is seeking a Product Safety Certifier - Healthcare to make technical decisions based on knowledge, training and experience to maintain the integrity of the CSA Mark. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8 years or equivalent of related experience or Engineering Technologist/Technician diploma or Certified Engineering Technologist/Technician, Licensed Trades with 8 years or equivalent industry experience.
Requirements
- Maintains good housekeeping, taking care of safety and using PPE at all times.
- Resolves technical issues to determine the appropriate interpretation of technical requirements within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Prepares work orders for the test programs, with assistance if required, and collaborates with Lab Staff to determine applicable tests.
- Prepares certification reports, Certificate of Compliance and other related CSA documentation.
- Mentors junior staff
- Support CU reps in quoting and developing potential business.
- Provides high quality certification services which meets the clients’ needs in the most efficient and effective manner possible
