The Manufacturing Engineer contributes to the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of changes in manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems across DBU sites. The role supports Industrial Engineering (IE) and Manufacturing Engineering (ME) activities by developing process documentation, performing analyses, and collaborating with global teams.
Requirements
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineering teams to develop and update Manufacturing Engineering documentation
- Provide IE/ME consultation and support to global DBU sites as required
- Support Manufacturing Project Inputs, Reviews, and digital manufacturing initiatives across locations
- Assist in designing and implementing manufacturing processes ensuring safety, quality, and business goals are met
- Contribute to improvements in manufacturing methods through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement tools
- Work with internal and external stakeholders on project execution, technical reviews, and validation
- Support equipment selection and capital procurement aligned with Cummins specifications
- Develop manufacturing standards, work methods, workstation designs, and ergonomically compliant layouts
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives, waste reduction, and operational efficiency improvements
- Generate clear, structured, and standardized process documentation for manufacturing operations
