Performs mechanical inspection with precision and attention to detail, with a focus on quality control and process adherence. Inspects complex machined parts for conformance to specifications and maintains accurate records.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Technical/Trade school required. 2-year associates degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar field preferred
- In-depth understanding of relevant manufacturing standards (such as IPC-A-610) or common mechanical techniques (such as geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices)
- Ability to use various measurement devices (calipers, pin gauges, go/no-go gauges, etc.) to verify mechanical part compliance
- Experience reading mechanical drawings and able to verify parts dimensions against drawing requirements
- Experience using a Micro-Hite, Romer Arm and Optical comparator or other complex inspection systems is desired
