Senior Software Engineer, Autonomy - Perception, Deep Learning

Cyngn is a company focused on developing autonomous industrial vehicles, specifically forklifts. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Autonomy team and develop deep learning models for object detection, segmentation, and tracking, leveraging camera and lidar data. The role involves designing, training, and deploying models to enhance the performance and reliability of the vehicles. This position offers a small team environment and access to the company’s publicly-traded equity.

Requirements

• Design, implement, and optimize deep learning models for object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, training infrastructure, and inference frameworks.
• Develop tools for evaluating model performance and ensuring robustness.
• Work with third-party annotation vendors.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (Pytorch, TensorFlow, Numpy, SciPy, OpenCV).
