Job Description
D-Wave is seeking a Senior Solution Architect with TS/SCI clearance to build and deliver quantum optimization solutions for customer applications. The role involves working with internal teams and external customers to review customer business problems, map these problems to D-Wave’s hybrid solvers and advanced quantum systems, formulate solutions, build and test prototypes, and build applications that run-in production for our customers.
Requirements
- Masters, PhD, or equivalent in Operations Research, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field
- Active security clearance level TS/SCI (Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information)
- 5+ years experience with Python
- Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Networkx
- Experience working directly with external customers to identify requirements and consult on solutions to complex business problems
- Experience using leading optimization tools (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi, etc.)
- Practical with a view of what it means to solve customer problems, with a strong sense of urgency and an understanding of project delivery requirements
- Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling and optimization solution techniques
- Experience with a version control software such as Git
- Experience building applications to solve complex business problems for customers in a production environment
- Collaborative mindset and solid interpersonal skills
- Passionate for writing state-of-the-art Python code
- Experience providing technical leadership from business problem definition, functional requirements specifications, to solution design and implementation
- Proven record of successful on-time delivery of projects with a high degree of predictability and quality
