Engineering Manager

Datagrid is a company building AI agents that automate complex data and workflows. They are looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong technical foundation and experience leading development teams. The role involves balancing technical leadership, team development, and delivery oversight, while staying close to the code to mentor and guide engineering decisions.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as an individual contributor and several years in engineering leadership roles
• Strong background in building and scaling SaaS or AI-driven products
• Experience leading distributed engineering teams
• Proficiency in one or more core languages (Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar) and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps practices
• Track record of shipping complex products from concept to launch
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience with vector databases, LLM orchestration, or AI agent frameworks
• Background in enterprise SaaS or B2B software
• Experience balancing technical debt with rapid delivery in a startup environment
