Lead Manufacturing Engineer

We’re looking for a full-time, staff Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Texarkana, Texas. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer leads manufacturing engineering activities for munitions production, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and cost-effective processes.

Requirements

• Develops and implements manufacturing processes for energetics based on customer TDPs
• Supports new product introductions
• Supports engineering leadership and manages assigned projects through the full life cycle
• Serve as the technical authority for manufacturing engineering issues related to munitions production
• Mentor and guide manufacturing engineers and technicians
• Performs cost estimating, payback evaluations, and cost impact analyses to support project and manufacturing decisions
• Applies Lean manufacturing techniques and methods to improve production processes
• Drives Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, cycle time, and cost
• Leads root cause investigations and implements corrective actions for process deviations and nonconformances
