Job Description
DC Scholars Public Charter School is seeking part-time Before/After School Teachers to enrich the lives of youth. This role involves providing mentorship, safe environment, and appropriate behavior management to students in Preschool to 8th grade. The position requires a passionate and reliable individual committed to a mission-oriented team.
Requirements
- High School diploma
- 1 year of teaching experience and/or 1 year of experience working in a childcare/school setting
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and get a TB test
- Ability to identify, resolve and communicate problems and solutions in a timely and respectful manner
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to supervisor direction
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently
- Ability to maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality
- Ability to meet challenges and will go above and beyond
