Staff Android Engineer, Tech Foundation, Core Data

We are looking for a Staff Engineer, Android to join the Tech Foundations team at Glovo in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in mobile software development, with deep proficiency in Kotlin. The role involves leading architectural design of our mobile SDKs, mentoring peers, and driving technological improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in mobile software development
• Deep proficiency in Kotlin
• Profound understanding of mobile performance optimization and debugging
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining robust SDKs for large-scale, consumer-facing products
• Proven ability to act as a mentor and technical leader
• Experience working on products at a massive scale (millions of users)
• Prior experience with iOS (Swift) or a proven ability to think cross-platform
• Experience with Flutter/Native (Kotlin) integration
• A track record of public speaking at conferences or contributing to open-source projects, demonstrating thought leadership in the mobile community
