We are recruiting for a motivated Medical Assistant (MA) - Women's Care Clinic to join our team! The job involves assisting providers with back office duties, performing nursing support, and ensuring smooth patient flow within the clinic.
Requirements
- Accurately and efficiently takes vital signs and basic historical patient data
- Assists provider in setting up for procedures including aseptic and sterile techniques
- Prepares patients for examinations, assists with examinations, cast or splint applications, minor procedures
- Assists in the coordination of clerical information necessary to provide patient care
- Checks in patient by escorting patients from reception area to exam room
- Documents accurately and appropriately in patient medical record
- Reports change in patient condition to appropriate health care provider
- Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments/supplies
- Maintains a safe environment by practicing sound safety and infection control practices
- Engages in performance appraisal on a routine basis
- May perform phlebotomy and perform various laboratory procedures
