Job Description
The Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) will build and lead the compliance function for Deriv's SVG banking licence, establishing frameworks, providing guidance, and making judgment calls to balance compliance with business operations. The role requires strong compliance experience, knowledge of Caribbean regulations, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will lead compliance for the SVG banking licence, build and maintain the compliance framework, manage AML/CFT and CDD, and work with regulators and global teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a compliance role
- Experience dealing with regulatory bodies in the Caribbean
- Good understanding of corporate law, AML, financial transaction laws, banking law, investment services law, virtual assets law, and other relevant legislation in the jurisdiction
- Solid understanding of legal requirements and controls
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- A university degree in a related field
