Site Reliability Engineer

Descartes is hiring three Site Reliability Engineers to help secure, automate, and optimize its cloud infrastructure. The role involves building reliable, scalable systems, improving performance, and collaborating with engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of SysOps, SRE or DevOps experience.
• Strong knowledge in Linux and Windows system orchestration.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Knowledge of Public cloud environments (AWS and GCP).
• Advanced experience with at least two scripting or programming language (Bash, PowerShell, Python (Django), JavaScript (Vue), Java,.Net etc.).
• Experience with Infrastructure as code, deployments done using descriptive languages such as Ansible & Terraform.
• Knowledge and experience with docker and containers orchestration such as Kubernetes.
• Strong pipeline experience (Github, Azure DevOps etc.).
• Knowledge of deploying applications written in Python, Java and.Net.
• Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices to protect data from intrusion, loss, and corruption.
• Experience with database (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Redis, Mongo)
