We are looking for a fullstack developer to join our IT & Digital department. As one of the largest sports platforms in Germany, FUSSBALL.DE attracts over a million users every weekend, and around 10 million people feel connected to amateur football.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable education
- At least 3 years of backend experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, or similar technologies
- Very good knowledge of Java (Java 8 or higher)
- Strong knowledge of developing scalable web applications and RESTful services
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with modern development tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, or similar tools)
- Desirable knowledge of Apache Kafka
- Experience in API Design (RESTful, GraphQL, gRPC), Authentication, and Rate Limiting
- Architecture understanding for scalability and consistency
- Strong hands-on mentality; structured and team-oriented working style with a strong product focus
