Job Description
DigitalOcean is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the App Platform team and drive the long-term technical vision and strategic roadmap for the platform. The successful candidate will have extensive leadership experience, deep technical expertise in Golang and Kubernetes, and a strong understanding of agile methodologies and best practices for version control systems.
Requirements
- Extensive leadership experience
- Deep technical expertise in Golang and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and best practices for version control systems
- Significant experience building, managing, or defining strategy for services in a public cloud environment
- Direct, deep experience with PaaS, container orchestration, or CI/CD systems
- Strong foundation in building and operating scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems at scale
