Health and Safety Manager

The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for the Security, Health & Safety of employees, contractors, vendors and visitors while on Clariant Louisville property, ensuring compliance with Clariant Health, and Safety guidelines, procedures and expectations, and adherence to all applicable federal, state and local regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Industrial Hygiene strongly preferred
• 10+ years of related experience or a combination of education and experience also considered
• Skilled in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Safety and Loss Prevention programs required, knowledge of same within the Chemical industry strongly preferred
• Thorough knowledge and application of the EPA, OSHA, and Kentucky regulations
• Experience creating and implementing process hazard analyses considered a plus
• Excellent safety record with a demonstrated ability to approach safety issues proactively
• Demonstrated team leadership
• Excellent mechanical and spatial aptitude with the ability to learn and apply root cause analyses, lean and six sigma methodologies within an industrial manufacturing environment
