Staff Software Engineer, Player Experience

Discord is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Player Experience to design, build, and maintain features that help users connect and make friends through gaming on our platform, across desktop and mobile.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience with React/TS, Python or other modern programming languages
• Experience shipping incremental + delightful features that improve the overall user experience
• Comfortable switching between different technical stacks and learning new ones
• Experience leading projects, gathering requirements, supporting partners and mentoring others
• Ability to express opinions and stay aligned with cross-functional peers
• Holistic approach to problem solving

Benefits

• US base salary range: $248,000 to $279,000 + equity + benefits
