Science Education Instructor (Seasonal, Full-Time) - Orange County

Discovery Cube is looking for a seasonal, full-time informal Science Education Instructor/Performer who is personable, energetic and professional, to join our team. Science Education Instructors fulfill our mission by educating young minds, assisting teachers, and increasing public understanding and appreciation for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience working with children
• Experience working in an educational institution
• Experience working with science concepts
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Knowledge of a second language preferable, but not required
• Possess vehicle driver’s license and insurance
• Excellent work ethic
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Comfortable learning and teaching basic science concepts
• Quick learner
• Flexible- this position requires the ability to maintain a flexible schedule and work in a variety of locations
• Exceptional planning and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to perform and teach to school groups, educators, community-based organizations and families
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and in teams
