Job Description
DNEG is a world-class animation studio seeking Character TDs to join their growing team on major animated feature films. The role involves creating character animation rigs, working closely with Rigging Supervisors and Animation Leads, and contributing to the production process. The studio emphasizes collaboration and creativity.
Requirements
- Proven years of experience with significant creature/character projects
- Thorough knowledge of character specialization (body, face, mechanical rigs)
- Full working knowledge of Maya
- Strong visual and artistic skills
- Familiarity with pipeline issues and character/creature-heavy post-production
- Understanding of human and animal anatomy
- Understanding of the fundamental laws of physics
- Proficiency in mathematics (linear algebra)
- Fundamental animation knowledge
