Job Description
DNEG is hiring FX TDs to gather 3D assets from Build, Layout, and Animation departments using Houdini and custom pipelines. The role involves creating high-quality simulations for VFX Feature Films and requires a strong understanding of physical simulation techniques. The position is unionized and will be covered by a collective agreement.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of high-end feature film VFX experience
- Proven experience in producing photorealistic effects (smoke, fire, clouds, water, steam, explosions)
- Experience with particle and voxel-based rendering
- Knowledge of Houdini
- Familiarity with pipeline issues and problem solving
- Experience in live action FX work
- Extensive knowledge of Houdini
- Familiarity with at least one node based compositing application (Nuke preferred)
- Solid understanding of the compositing process
- Organised, proactive, and a self-starter
