Senior AI Engineer

Docker is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to enhance the Ask Gordon AI assistant, which powers their app development tools and CLI. This role focuses on improving the AI platform's understanding of Docker documentation and code, designing evaluation frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The company is rapidly expanding and looking for passionate individuals to contribute to innovative AI solutions for developers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with machine learning models, particularly large language models (LLMs)
• Practical experience building and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems
• Proven experience training, fine-tuning, or adapting models for specific domains or use cases
• Proficiency in Go (primary at Docker) and Python
• Experience with LangChain/LangGraph or similar AI orchestration frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to prototype quickly and iterate based on user feedback
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) or developer tooling (preferred)
• Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search technologies (preferred)
• Experience with AI safety, hallucination detection, and reliability techniques (preferred)
