The Accounting Manager role is a key leadership position responsible for managing the month-end close process, maintaining the general ledger, and overseeing daily accounting activities. This hybrid role requires on-site presence at least three days per week.
Requirements
- Manage and oversee the full month-end closing process
- Create, review, and approve journal entries
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Review and approve account reconciliations and supporting analyses
- Oversee daily accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
- Assist with internal control audits, financial statement audits, and Single Audit processes
- Support continuous improvement of accounting procedures and documentation
- Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Complete endowment analysis, gift annuity reporting, and pledge reporting
- Coordinate internal cost allocations and external billings
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Provide guidance on workload prioritization, technical accounting matters, and professional development
