Actuarial Analyst

Donegal Insurance Group is looking for a motivated Actuarial Analyst to support the ratemaking process for commercial lines of business as well as capital modeling. The role will involve data analysis, forecasting, and reporting to ensure that future pricing is set appropriately to achieve overall profitability goals.

Requirements

• Perform semiannual profitability reviews using various actuarial methods and tools
• Analyze loss, claim, exposure, and premium data to determine appropriate pricing
• Work with Product Development and Underwriting to develop proposed rate level changes and support the filing of changes with various state Departments of Insurance
• Assist with capital modeling efforts and reporting of results to senior management
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency of recurring analyses
• Build and run data reports for requests both inside and outside of the department
• Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics team to share knowledge and insights across teams and ensure informed, data-driven decisions
