Software Engineer, Cloud Engineering

DoorDash is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Cloud Infrastructure team. This role focuses on building and operating their foundational cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-efficiency for engineering teams. The engineer will partner with Compute, Traffic, and Platform teams to evolve the cloud strategy and modernise governance processes.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience building or operating cloud infrastructure at scale (AWS, GCP, or similar).
• Proficiency with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation pipelines (e.g., Atlantis, GitHub Actions).
• Strong technical knowledge of VPC networking, subnets, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and cross-account access patterns.
• Experience implementing monitoring and alerting for cloud systems using tools like Prometheus, CloudWatch, or Datadog.
• Clean, maintainable code in Go, Python, or another modern language.
• Valuing problem-solving at the platform level and building abstractions to simplify engineer workflows.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments or cloud portability initiatives.
