Job Description
The Laboratory Technologist (MLT or MT) supports diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases through laboratory testing under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager. This role involves performing tests, operating equipment, maintaining quality control, and assisting with the overall operation of the laboratory. Independent judgment and professional education are essential.
Requirements
- Performs hematology, immunohematology, immunology, bacteriology, microscopy, routine chemistry, therapeutic drug monitoring, and routine quality control tests in an assigned area.
- Performs phlebotomy using appropriate age-specific techniques.
- Calibrates, standardizes, and maintains laboratory equipment following established procedures.
- Validates and reports test results accurately and timely.
