Job Description
The Shop Technician primarily works in the valve repair shop making repairs to customer property including frac valves, wellheads, spool, chokes, actuators, and other surface wellhead equipment as required. The role involves assembling and breaking down new or used equipment, inspecting, repairing, and testing equipment, as well as performing general shop maintenance, shipping and receiving, and travel.
Requirements
- 1 year of related experience
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
- Write route reports and correspondence
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, fraction, percentages, area circumference and volume
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situation where only limited standardization exists
- Limited computer knowledge
- Determine the correct equipment and tools needed to do a job correctly
