CNC Turning Setup Operator

This CNC Turning Setup Operator position involves setting up and operating 2 CNC machines, examining blueprints, putting tools in place, and performing dimensional checks. The role also includes measuring, inspecting, and organizing parts, as well as maintaining a clean workspace. It requires accurate measurement and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers
• 3-5 years CNC experience
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Advanced blueprint reading skills
• Advanced computer skills
• Basic math and reading skills
• Knowledge of tooling
• Knowledge of gages
• Ability to use 0-1” micrometers, depth micrometers, comparators, drop indicators, dial/plug gages, profilometers and height gages
• Knowledge of tool layouts and inserts
• Ability to follow setup sheets
• Ability to adjust and change spindle liners
• Knowledge of SPC and Vantage
