NA Senior Payroll Specialist

The Sr. Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payrolls for multiple companies accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with US & Canada federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving payroll issues efficiently, delivering quality customer service, and partnering with ADP to resolve payroll issues and ensure proper taxing liabilities.

Requirements

• Oversee and process centralized payroll for associates across all fifty states and Canada
• Manage timecard collection, verification, and approval for manufacturing plants
• Troubleshoot and resolve missing or incomplete timecard information
• Balance payroll data with time and attendance records
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now (WFN) for biweekly payroll processing
• Process monthly and quarterly Expat shadow payroll entries and third-party relocation entries
• Provide support for internal and external audit inquiries
• Verify and audit payroll changes entered by HRSS
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and timecard information
• Maintain payroll and timecard support documents
• Complete payroll reporting requirements per state regulations
• Collaborate on procedures to streamline payroll and timecard processes
• Work with Tax team to document employee changes that affect filings and registrations of new states
• Review and process all state notifications either through WFN or directly with the state
• Process and maintain log of garnishments and send answers to districts where it is required
• Assist in special projects as assigned by management
• Manage entries and deductions for 401k, Roth, and 409A plan
• Review 401k files from 401k provider to ensure accurate and timely updates
• Process additional payments for Puerto Rico as required by law
• Ad hoc reporting for Finance and plants to support budget reviews
• Annual year end processing and verification of 401k and HSA
• Process monthly reporting and workers compensation payments for Canada
• Process and maintain records of special imputed income such as wellness reimbursements
• Manage and maintain records of Employee Recognition program for quarterly processing for awards
