Job Description
Cook prepares and serves food for residents and employees using proper food handling and safety techniques. Maintains a clean and safe working environment and assists in receiving and storing food supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification
- Food Handlers permit (if required by state regulations)
- 6 months experience in large quantity food preparation (preferably therapeutic diet preparation)
- 6 months experience in a long term care environment (preferred)
