2nd Shift Machinist

Perform a variety of set up, operation, inspection and preventative maintenance specific to daily machinists’ functions on all machinery in the parts manufacturing environment. Continually strive for cost effective machining practices, such as eliminating scrap parts and set up time reduction.

Requirements

• Perform a variety of set up, operation, inspection and preventative maintenance specific to daily machinists’ functions
• Set up, adjust and maintain set up on all production machinery in the parts manufacturing environment
• Set up and operate production or support machinery to modify parts per appropriate specifications
• Monitor progress of work throughout departments to ensure compliance with specifications
• Develop fixtures, clamping devices and non-standard machine tooling when necessary
• Maintain necessary production and inventory records with the use of a personal computer
• Perform specified preventative maintenance as required
• Follow and maintain safety rules and practices
• Perform required housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and orderly work environment
