Lead Power Electronics Engineer

Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division is seeking a Lead Power Electronics Engineer to join their team. The role involves leading new product development projects, developing system architecture, and reviewing data and simulating power electronics circuits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with minimum 5 years work experience in power electronic circuit design
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years work experience in power electronic circuit design
• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Experience with Inverter theory/knowledge, knowledge battery systems and protective devices including power distribution
• Knowledge of three-phase power systems, power electronics utility interface, and power conversion topologies
• Experience with Design for Six Sigma tools
• Experience interacting with Global teams
• Experience with digital control and algorithms to power electronics systems
• Understanding of Magnetics Design for high frequency Power Electronics
• Ability to simulate, analyze, troubleshoot using HIL systems
• Competent with Matlab/Simulink/PLECS and PSPICE
• Analyze and simulate power electronics systems from board level to complex products
• Familiarity with schematic entry and PCB design tools like Altium, Cadence, etc.
• Understanding of layout design principles
• Excellent verbal/ written communications
• Familiarity with common tools and methods to work in high power lab (480V) environment, oscilloscope, power analyzers and meters
