Master Designer (COD) Greenwood, SC

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Master Designer (COD) in Greenwood, SC. The primary function is to provide mechanical design or electrical design and documentation support for electrical switchgear and control products. The role requires technical work with a high degree of creativity, technical design and drafting skills, and a thorough understanding of basic materials, mechanical and electrical principles, and manufacturing concepts.

Requirements

• Work to standard procedures or written and oral instructions from supervisor
• Strong Mechanical and/or Electrical aptitude as well as familiarity in reading schematic diagrams
• Prepare complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches and drawings using CAD technology
• Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices
• Demonstrate advanced computer skills with ability to learn required software (Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Inventor, Design Automation, MAPICS)
• Interpret engineering work packages to develop designs and manufacturing information packages
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to solve complex design issues
• Coordinate with different levels of the organization to ensure schedules are met
• Detailed Bill of Material reviews for editing and accuracy
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects/assignments/duties
