Job Description
The Urgent Care Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (UC PMHNP) provides direct care to referred pediatric and adult patients in the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Service (BHUCS) and affiliated locations at EBNHC. The UC PMHNP is responsible for providing quality patient care under the guidance of the Medical Director of the Urgent Care and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to establish rapport and develop therapeutic relationships with patients of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of motivation for change
- Knowledge of the full range of community resources to properly guide and direct patients
- Capacity to diagnose and effectively treat a range of behavioral health conditions: anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders and moderate-severe personality disorders
- Advanced phone assessment/triage skills
- Ability to perform advanced, high-quality, thorough psychosocial evaluations
