The Supply Chain Engineer supports EBR Systems by ensuring material supply across all lifecycle phases, from development to sustaining. The role proactively monitors supplier networks to anticipate, prevent, and mitigate sourcing issues, ensuring business continuity and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Own material availability end-to-end—forecast, purchase, and stock every component so production never misses a beat, from NPI through sustainment.
- Maintain constructive working relationships across the company’s supply chain to drive alignment, continuous improvement, and mutually beneficial (“win-win”) outcomes.
- Be the risk killer—proactively spot, mitigate, and resolve sourcing threats to keep business continuity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support engineering prototypes, production builds, demonstration product procurement, and other material needs aligned with company objectives.
- Co-lead supplier selection and qualification—partner with Engineering, Quality, or Operations to onboard suppliers that meet EBR’s standards.
- Design and execute shipping procedures (domestic & international), including forward stocking locations and dangerous-goods compliance.
- Lead and deliver strategic supply chain projects.
- Step up as player-coach—mentor and guide the purchasing and logistics team whenever the mission demands it.
- Track and analyze BOM, indirect costs, and supply chain metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Drive outside processing logistics and inventory reconciliation at contract manufacturers, ensuring material traceability and accuracy within ERP.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
