Mechanical Engineer - Cell Stack

Electroflow is a rapidly scaling company revolutionizing domestic lithium iron phosphate (LFP) production with a proprietary electrochemical process. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, build, and deployment of their modular electrochemical stack, crucial for driving their production of the lowest-cost LFP on the planet. This full-ownership role involves hands-on hardware building, from concept to full-scale production, with strong emphasis on quality, reliability, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrochemical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience designing and deploying high-reliability mechanical or electrochemical systems (battery, fuel-cell, electrolyzer, or process hardware)
• Expertise in sealing systems (O-rings, gaskets, etc.)
• Manufacturing fluency (CNC machining, polymers, coatings, GD&T)
• Familiarity with process piping, manifolds, and packaging
• Hands-on prototyping skills
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, tolerance analysis, and structural integrity
• Clear communication, organized documentation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration
