Emergent Software is looking for a technical product owner / software development expert to join their top-notch software development team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner on complex custom software development projects, strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills, and a solid understanding of software development life cycle models including Agile principles.
Requirements
- Product Ownership experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner on complex custom software development projects
- Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Experience operating as the liaison between agile development teams and users in defining requirements, performing business analysis, and driving delivery in the right direction
- Technology knowledge
- A solid understanding of how websites, web applications, APIs, databases, and the cloud function at a high level
- Strong technical background enabling you to provide credible leadership to development teams and accurately evaluate complex project risks and issues
- Experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models including expert knowledge of Agile principles
- Experience with agile work organization tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, Basecamp, Rally)
- A proven track record of successfully implementing custom web application projects using Agile methodologies
- Experience with Traditional Project Management concepts
- Experience with scope, schedule, budget, and risk management
- Must be viewed as a trusted source of truth by stakeholders through consistent, transparent, and confident communication
- Occasional travel to client sites may be requested for activities such as annual planning meetings
