Emerging Tech is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to provide high-quality mental health care to Veterans at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System.
Requirements
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management
- Manage urgent psychiatric situations, including crisis assessments and hospitalization determinations
- Provide suicide risk evaluations, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapeutic support
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other clinical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, consultations, and case review discussions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and specialty consults while ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines
- Document all encounters within VistA/CPRS in compliance with VA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CARF standards
- Support resident education or supervision, when applicable
- Provide on-call coverage as assigned
- Deliver care in-person at the main campus or CBOCs, and via VA Video Connect when needed
