Fire Marshal

The Fire Marshal will work as part of the site Emergency Response Team (ERT) to protect the plant from emergency situations and provide a safe working environment for employees. The role involves engaging in proactive duties, extinguishing fires, executing rescues, and participating in fire prevention and inspection activities.

Requirements

• Reports through the chain of command to the Supervisor
• Maintains all emergency equipment in a state of operational readiness
• Participates in continuous training and developmental learning program
• Maintains a satisfactory level of personal fitness, hygiene, appearance, and cleanliness of uniform
• Performs salvage operations such as protection of affected plant and equipment following an incident
• Cleans and inspects equipment and apparatus after returning from an incident
• Makes minor repairs to equipment and apparatus, performs routine preventative maintenance tasks
• Keeps fire station, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly condition
• Enters inspection, training, and fire and emergency calls into the relevant log books
• Works in a safe manner and reports unsafe activity and conditions
