Azure Engineer plays a key role in the design, development, and management of our Azure infrastructure. This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing Azure public cloud environments.
Requirements
- Implement, support, and maintain 24x7 Azure CSP environments, RDS deployments and Windows technologies.
- Make ongoing recommendations of Azure and Windows policies and standards – strategic planning.
- Manage multiple large-scale projects in a fast-paced challenging environment and provide leadership to other members of the team.
- Quickly convert business problems into technical solutions and opportunities.
- Resolve Azure, Windows, and RDS escalations from clients and other team members.
- Collaborate with customers and team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain and prioritize incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage configuration and deployment of Azure resources in compliance with established technology policies.
- Recommend technical solutions that will enhance performance, increase redundancy, and add flexibility to the existing infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot Azure and Windows performance issues.
- Maintain system availability and monitoring of critical services.
- Maintain appropriate relationships with 3rd party vendors and evaluate vendor software, and communications products to provide recommendations to leadership.
- Regular participation in change control activities that comply with ITIL change management.
- Establish upgrade and backup strategies for core infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
