Our ENERCON Federal Services team is seeking a Drafter/Designer to join the team. In this role, you will provide meaningful impact in the world of engineering from preparing design drawings to providing mentorship to other team members.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree with minimum 6 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree in related field with minimum 5 years of design experience
- Work with the engineering team in the development of 2D designs and orthographic drawings, piping isometrics, and detailed drawings
- Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), process flow diagrams (PFD), HVAC system design/layouts, facility layouts and Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation (CE&I) system diagrams
- Knowledge in the practices of an engineering discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline
- Select hardware and materials as required by the project, with guidance from engineers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of design
- Ability to travel for short trips to get badged (on an as needed basis)
- Work in a multidisciplinary team
- Develop and maintain red-line documents (ECN's, FCN's etc.)
- Perform checking of design documents produced by peers, in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Advanced knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
