Designer/Drafter

Our ENERCON Federal Services team is seeking a Drafter/Designer to join the team. In this role, you will provide meaningful impact in the world of engineering from preparing design drawings to providing mentorship to other team members.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree with minimum 6 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree in related field with minimum 5 years of design experience
• Work with the engineering team in the development of 2D designs and orthographic drawings, piping isometrics, and detailed drawings
• Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), process flow diagrams (PFD), HVAC system design/layouts, facility layouts and Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation (CE&I) system diagrams
• Knowledge in the practices of an engineering discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline
• Select hardware and materials as required by the project, with guidance from engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of design
• Ability to travel for short trips to get badged (on an as needed basis)
• Work in a multidisciplinary team
• Develop and maintain red-line documents (ECN's, FCN's etc.)
• Perform checking of design documents produced by peers, in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
