Officer, Food Procurement

Food Banks Canada is a national non-profit organization that supports food banks and community organizations across Canada. The Officer, Food Procurement role is part of the National Food Sharing Team and is responsible for supporting the organization's initiatives to supply a reliable supply of nutritious food to the food bank network.

Requirements

• Completion of a post-secondary college diploma program or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years' relevant experience
• Project coordination and issue management skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to organize data
• Clear, professional, and warm communicator
• Superior listening skills with the ability to interpret the concerns and interests of different groups of stakeholders
• Professional presence, with a positive attitude and self-starter, accountable approach project management
• Effective interpersonal skills and success in working in a team environment
• Problem solver and professionally curious with a strong interest in the mission of Food Banks Canada
• Excellent writer with experience developing effective communications materials for a variety of audiences
