The manufacturing engineer is a key member of the ETE engineering group, responsible for improving and expanding production systems, improving key metrics, and collaborating with engineering and operations teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or manufacturing preferred)
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Superior communication and organizational skills
- Background working on the shop floor with operations staff to assist in solving issues
- Understanding of operational theory of automatic transmissions
- Experience with assembly of complex hydraulic/mechanical assemblies
- Proven experience in tracking and understanding manufacturing operations and implementing solutions to drive continuous improvement
- Functional in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Excel, Power-point, and other related programs
- Mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Organizational, analytical, and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
- Flexibility regarding priority changes
- Fluency in speaking, reading and writing English
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and/or safety manuals
- Self-starter with ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
